PayLater by Grab is the Buy Now, Pay Later option within the Grab app and at participating online and in-store merchants. Shoppers can pay in full next month (interest-free) or split a purchase into 4, 8 or 12 instalments (the 4-instalment plan is interest-free for VIP brands).
For merchants, Grab charges a per-transaction service fee, but the merchant discount rate is not published anywhere on its official Malaysian site — businesses apply via the merchant form, after which a Grab representative provides pricing, so the merchant fee is shown as “Contact sales”. Grab does officially state that merchants are settled within 5 working days with no repayment risk.
Integration is merchant-friendly: Grab offers no-code pre-built plugins (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, EasyStore, Wix) and DuitNow QR, as well as a direct API. The only specific MDR figures available (roughly 3%–4%) come from a third-party comparison and should be treated as indicative.
